Minnesotans eligible for a property tax refund from their 2023 filings can now track their refund online via the Minnesota Department of Revenue’s website. To qualify, you need a valid Social Security number must be a Minnesota resident or have lived in the state for at least 183 days, have paid rent on a property with assessed property tax have a household income under $73,270 for 2023 and not be claimed as a dependent.
Eligible individuals can use the “Where’s My Refund?” tool on the Department of Revenue’s website to check their refund status. You’ll need to enter your Social Security number, date of birth, and exact refund amount from your 2023 tax filings. This tool is available for returns filed from 2020 onward making it easy for homeowners and renters to track their refunds, according to the report of Kare 11.
