A teen was accidentally shot in Jensen Beach, a man was shot in Indian River County, and an elderly couple was killed over a homeowners association dispute. Stuart Police Chief Joseph Tummenelli said December 3, 2022, was the most unusual day in his 26 years on the job. Residents like Garret Almeida and Vivian Rosenhauer are shocked by the increase in violent crime.
