This is because living costs are higher in places like Alaska.
Different states have different dates for sending out SNAP benefits. Many states will start sending payments on August 1, 2024. States like Alaska, Vermont, North Dakota, and Rhode Island will send all their benefits on that one day. Other states, such as Florida and Texas, will spread out their payments from August 1 to August 28.
