Hoosier Hills Food Bank Mobile Pantry Provides Monthly Food Aid to Bedford and Surrounding Areas
According to the Times-Mail report, the Hoosier Hills Food Bank Mobile Food Pantry comes to Bedford on the fourth Tuesday of every month to help people who need food. Recently, volunteers like Sheri House and Sandy Sherrill gave out boxes of food at the Bedford Sherwood Oaks Christian Church. Sheri has been helping for a year since she moved to Bedford, and Sandy makes sure all the volunteers do their jobs. The food boxes have different items like milk, fruits, vegetables, and meat when available.
The mobile food pantry also visits other places like Shoals, Orleans, and Mitchell monthly. They go to Shoals on the second Tuesday from 1-3 p.m., Orleans on the second Thursday from 1-3 p.m., Bedford on the fourth Tuesday from 4-6 p.m., and Mitchell on the fourth Thursday from 4-6 p.m. This helps families in these areas get the food they need.
