Chesterfield County Woman Faces Felony Charges After Attacking Victims and Causing Severe Injuries
According to the report of True Crime News, Amy Perez, 45, from Chesterfield County, South Carolina, is facing serious charges for allegedly kidnapping and attacking her husband’s new girlfriend and the woman’s 8-year-old son. On May 28, Amy Perez and her sons reportedly broke into the victim’s home, then took them to an empty property where Amy Perez hurt the girlfriend with a knife, causing severe injuries to her liver. The victims were found later that day; the adult’s injuries were serious but not life-threatening, and she needed to stay in the hospital for about three days.

South Carolina Woman Arrested in Mississippi Faces Multiple Felony Charges, Including Kidnapping and Attempted Murder
Amy Perez, who was already wanted for other charges, was arrested on June 20 at a casino in Mississippi. She faces charges like trying to intimidate court officials, pretending to be a police officer, attempted murder, two counts of kidnapping, and burglary. Authorities say Amy Perez had been tracking her estranged husband’s car and threatened to let the victims go if he came back to her. A judge refused to grant her bond at a court hearing on July 23.
