According to True Crime News, Timothy Gordon aged 48 was given a life sentence in Kane County, Illinois for murdering his wife Yahaira Gordon. He confessed to first-degree murder after shooting Yahaira in front of her children and family shortly after she filed for divorce. Prosecutors said Timothy entered Yahaira’s bedroom on October 31, 2022 when he learned she was seeking a protection order and shot her in the head. Yahaira recorded the incident on her phone before she died.
Judge Clint Hull presiding over the trial denounced Timothy Gordon’s actions as tantamount to an execution. Gordon’s extensive criminal record which included armed violence, robbery, aggravated battery with a firearm and illegal possession of firearms as a felon illustrated a history of escalating violence.
