In a shocking case, Vermont State Police arrested two 34-year-old men for allegedly helping to get rid of a woman’s body after a deadly fight. Aaron Camp was arrested for moving a body without permission and helping after a murder while Terron “Josh” Pendleton was arrested for helping after a murder. A first-degree murder warrant has also been issued for Jakiy Tramaine Corey Keith, 24 who is accused of shooting and killing 29-year-old Kayla Wright in February. Keith is already in jail for drug charges.

Arrests made in Vermont drug trafficking-related homicide cases underscores the need for community awareness and action

The case started when Vermont State Police got a call on February 6 about human remains in a container found on the Missisquoi River. The remains were identified as Wright’s, and it was determined she died from several gunshot wounds to the head. Wright had been missing since February 2. Investigators believe that Keith shot Wright in the head several times during a fight over drug trafficking in northern Vermont. Camp and Pendleton are accused of helping Keith clean the crime scene and putting Wright’s body in the river in a toolbox.

The arrests show the seriousness of the crime and the ongoing investigation. According to the report of True Crime Daily, Pendleton is being held on $25,000 bail while Camp’s bail is $10,000.

Furthermore, the community has been deeply shaken by the crime as it shows a troubling link between drug trafficking and violence. The arrests of Camp and Pendleton and the ongoing investigation into Keith’s role highlight the urgent need to tackle drug problems in the area. Authorities are asking for more awareness and help from the public to fight the growing threat of drug-related violence stressing the importance of community efforts in stopping such tragedies.
