Arkansas Man Sentenced to 60 Years in Prison for Murdering 5-Year-Old Son of His Girlfriend
Nathan Bridges, a 34-year-old man, was sentenced to 60 years in prison for the murder of his girlfriend’s 5-year-old son, Blu Rolland in Arkansas. The Arkansas Department of Public Safety announced on July 18 that Bridges pleaded guilty to first-degree murder and first-degree battery. The child’s body was discovered on December 16, 2022, in Moro.
The case unfolded when Ashley Rolland, Blu’s mother initially lied about her son’s whereabouts. Her mother called the police after noticing severe burns on Rolland’s 6-year-old daughter who needed hospitalization. Rolland later admitted Blu died on September 9, 2022, after Bridges, angry that the boy bit his finger drowned him in a toilet. Bridges then buried Blu under the floorboards where police found his body wrapped in plastic bags.
