According to True Crime News, in Humboldt, Tennessee a heartbreaking incident has shaken the community as a 12-year-old girl faces charges of murder for allegedly suffocating her 8-year-old cousin during a family visit. According to officials from the 28th Judicial District Attorney General’s Office the girl used bedding to smother her cousin Demeria Hollingsworth while she slept on the top bunk of their shared bed. Afterward the girl reportedly cleaned the area and moved the victim’s body. The tragic altercation stemmed from an argument over an iPhone a dispute that escalated tragically and was captured on home surveillance footage adding a chilling aspect to the case.
The devastating events unfolded while the children were staying with their grandmother turning what was supposed to be a time of family togetherness into a scene of horror.
