According to the report of True Crime News, a 28-year-old man named Jerry Dorisme was arrested for fatally stabbing 13-year-old Rose Dieujuste to death in Orange County, Florida. Deputies found Rose badly hurt with stab wounds in a utility closet at her apartment complex on July 4. Despite being taken to the hospital, she didn’t survive. Surveillance cameras caught Dorisme following Rose, and evidence from a nearby store showed him buying the knife believed to be used in the crime. Dorisme lived in the same area and had a reputation for behaving suspiciously, especially around young girls.

Rose was on her way to visit a friend when the fatally stabbing attack happened. Her friend found Rose’s phone and shoes, which led her family to search for her and discover her unconscious in the closet. Sheriff John Mina mentioned that there were signs at the crime scene suggesting Rose might have been sexually abused, but investigators are still looking into it. Dorisme was arrested on July 11 for first-degree murder and is being held in jail without bail. He has faced accusations of inappropriate behavior before, including a 2020 charge of molesting a child.
