Police Warning – Chicago Residents Urged to Exercise Caution with Online Meetups
According to the Chicago Sun-Times, there have been several armed robberies in the Austin neighborhood of Chicago recently. Police say a man met people through dating apps and then robbed them at gunpoint. This armed robbery incident happened at least five times. In one case, he even stole a person’s car after meeting them at their home.

Neighborhood Concerns – Increased Patrols and Safety Warnings After Austin Robberies
These armed robberies mostly occurred on North Pine Avenue and West Van Buren Street. People in the neighborhood are worried, and police are now patrolling more in those areas. They are telling everyone to be careful when meeting people from dating apps and to report anything suspicious to help catch the robber.
