According to True Crime News, authorities have arrested Terry Self Jr., 37, after investigating his mother Regina Arroyo’s death for seven months. She was reported missing from Barnwell County and later found dead in the North Fork Edisto River. The Lexington County Sheriff’s Office determined her death was a homicide and accused Terry Self of being responsible.

Investigators Detail Alleged Sequence in Regina Arroyo Homicide Case Involving Terry Self Jr.
Investigators believe Terry Self and his mother argued at his home, leading to a deadly incident where he allegedly used something to strangle her. They say he then dumped her body in the river. Terry Self is currently in Richland County custody for other charges, like breaking probation and having drugs. He’s now facing murder charges in Lexington County, where officials refused to let him out on bail to bring some comfort to Arroyo’s family.
