Missouri Drivers Eligible for Gas Tax Refund Amid Infrastructure Funding Efforts
According to the KNWA Fox 24, Missouri drivers who bought gas from July 1, 2023, to June 30, 2024, can now get their money back because of a recent gas tax increase. They need to fill out a form called 4923-H on the Missouri Department of Revenue‘s website to apply for a partial refund. This refund opportunity is part of a plan to help people cope with higher taxes meant to improve the state’s roads and bridges.
To qualify for the refund, drivers must have bought gas for vehicles under 26,000 pounds used mainly on highways. The application process requires details like the vehicle’s ID number, purchase date, and how much gas was bought along with the Missouri fuel tax charged separately.
