Arrest Made – Allegedly Shooting of Teenager in Alleghany County, VA
Clifton Forge Incident – Man Charged with Malicious Wounding and Firearm Offenses
According to the WDBJ 7, in Alleghany County, Virginia, a 37-year-old man named William Christoffer Sorrels was arrested for allegedly shooting a teenager. Early Thursday morning, a Clifton Forge police officer responded to a call about four people outside a house on Staunton Street. When the officer arrived, he heard gunshots and saw that Sorrels had allegedly fired at a white Nissan Altima leaving the scene. The officer detained Sorrels and took an AR .223 firearm. Sorrels is charged with malicious wounding, using a firearm in a felony, and allegedly shooting at an occupied vehicle.

Teenager Injured in Alleghany County Allegedly Shooting Incident Under Investigation
A little later, four teenagers went to Lewis Gale Alleghany Hospital, with one having a gunshot wound in the leg. Deputies found that three teenagers and an 18-year-old were outside the house when the homeowner allegedly shot at them, hitting their car and injuring one teen. The injured teenager is in stable condition, and no one else was hurt. The Sheriff’s Office says there is no ongoing danger, but the case is still being investigated by the Commonwealth’s Attorney.
