Suspected Drunk Driver Steven Schwally Arrested After Fatal Long Island Salon Collision
According to the article of Fox News, an off-duty New York Police Department officer, Emilia Rennhack, was one of four people killed when a suspected drunk driver crashed into a nail salon on Long Island on Friday. Rennhack, 30, who worked at the NYPD’s 102nd precinct, was at the Hawaii Nail & Spa getting her nails done for another officer’s wedding when the crash happened. Steven Schwally, the driver from Dix Hills, was speeding through the parking lot when he lost control of his SUV and crashed into the salon. Schwally was arrested for driving while intoxicated.

Long Island Nail Salon Crash Leaves Four Dead and Several Injured
The crash also killed Jiancai Chen, 37, Yan Xu, 41, and Meizi Zhang, 50. Nine others, including a 12-year-old girl, were hurt and taken to the hospital. The New York Police Benevolent Association expressed their sadness on social media and asked for prayers for Rennhack’s family and friends. The crash left a huge hole in the building where Schwally’s SUV smashed through, finally stopping at the back of the salon. Schwally, who had minor injuries, will be arraigned later.
