Tyrese Haspil, a 25-year-old man, has been found guilty of murdering his 33-year-old tech CEO boss, Fahim Saleh, and stealing hundreds of thousands of dollars from him. The verdict was delivered after a thorough investigation and trial.
Embezzlement Scheme Revealed
Haspil worked as Saleh’s assistant from May 2018 to May 2019, during which time he embezzled money from his boss. He used stolen funds to buy lavish gifts for his girlfriend and create a fake PayPal account.
Plot to Kill Saleh Unfolds
After discovering that Saleh would soon find out about the embezzlement, Haspil began planning to kill his boss. He spent weeks researching how to commit the crime, purchasing cleaning supplies and a saw to help dispose of the body, according to the report of True Crime Daily.

Gruesome Murder Details
On July 13, 2020, Haspil attacked Saleh with a knife and Taser, stabbing him multiple times before dismembering and decapitating his body. He then cleaned the scene and disposed of evidence.
Arrest and Conviction
Haspil was arrested on July 17, 2020, at an Airbnb he was renting for his girlfriend’s birthday party. His online search history revealed searches related to dismembered bodies and murder. The jury delivered a guilty verdict on June 24, and Haspil is scheduled to be sentenced on September 10.
DA’s Statement on the Verdict
Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg Jr. said that Haspil’s actions were “tragic” and hopes that the verdict brings comfort to Saleh’s loved ones as they mourn his loss.
