This happened on May 19 during a confrontation where Elizabeth Wolf, who seemed drunk, targeted a Muslim and Palestinian family. Witnesses said Elizabeth Wolf made racist comments and asked about the family’s background, especially focusing on the mother who wore a hijab and modest clothes while swimming.

Euless Hate Crime Incident – Calls for Justice and Community Support Amidst Shock and Outrage

The situation got worse when Elizabeth Wolf reportedly tried to grab the family’s 6-year-old son and then forced their young daughter underwater. The mother stepped in and saved her daughter, who was upset and needed medical care afterward. The incident has raised alarms and calls for an investigation into hate crimes from the Texas chapter of the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR). They want authorities to ensure the Muslim community’s safety amid growing fears of Islamophobia and hostility toward Arabs.

Elizabeth Wolf was arrested and later released on bail, leading to demands for a thorough review of the case and tougher punishments if she’s found guilty. Texas Representative Salman Bhojani condemned the incident as a terrible act of racism and Islamophobia, saying such hateful actions have no place in Euless or anywhere else.
