Despite these challenges, there has been a positive trend in Tennessee’s violent crime rate. The state has seen an overall decrease of nearly 7.6%, with the most significant drop occurring at almost 7.5%. This mirrors a national trend with FBI data from early 2024 showing a 15.2% decrease in violent crime.
