Amidst violence and insecurity and she turned to Mercy Housing Lakefront in 2017 for support. They provided her family with a home at the Lofts on Arthington and crucial financial education. This assistance helped Hunter stabilize her finances, avoid eviction, and pursue higher education and entrepreneurship. Today, she and her children are thriving each pursuing their own successful paths.

Since its founding in 2006 with ten properties serving 1,000 residents, Mercy Housing Lakefront has grown significantly. They now manage nearly 50 properties housing 7,000 individuals across Chicago and neighboring states. Their focus extends beyond mere housing they are dedicated to fostering healthy futures through comprehensive support and educational programs, according to the report of CBS News.
