Johnson & Johnson has resolved allegations related to talc powder through a settlement amounting to $700 million
Johnson & Johnson will pay $700 million to settle claims from 42 U.S. states and Washington, D.C., alleging its talc-based baby powder causes cancer and it misled consumers. Led by Florida, North Carolina, and Texas, the settlement does not admit wrongdoing. J&J faces additional lawsuits, including a shareholder class action and individual cases linking its talc products to cancer. Last year, J&J transitioned to cornstarch in its baby powder, asserting its products are asbestos-free and safe, according to the International Business Times.

Agrees to Stop Selling Talc Products
