Indiana Woman Charged After Stepdaughter Found Dead in River
According to the article of Fox News, A sad event happened in Vincennes, Indiana, where Deonna Hollingsworth, 26, is charged with neglect after her 5-year-old stepdaughter was found dead in the Wabash River. On Thursday, Knox County officials got a 911 call around 2:40 p.m. The caller said a little girl had gone missing while playing in the river at Kimmel Park. Many rescue teams, including boats and divers, searched the river.

Indiana Woman Charged with Neglect After Stepdaughter’s Body Found in River
Divers found the girl’s body near the park’s boat ramp at about 7:15 p.m. The Indiana Department of Natural Resources said the girl was in Hollingsworth’s care when she disappeared. Officer Joe Haywood mentioned that there was enough proof to show the child was put in danger under Hollingsworth’s watch. The police are still looking into what happened. They are trying to understand how the girl ended up in the river and if anyone else could be responsible. Hollingsworth is in jail and faces serious neglect charges for not keeping the child safe.
