Four Suspects Arrested and Charged in Connection with Brenda Miller’s Death

According to Action News5, a tragic incident unfolded at the Tunica Courts Apartments in Tunica, Mississippi, on the night of June 3, 2024, when a woman was fatally shot. At approximately 10:48 p.m. the Tunica County Sheriff’s Office received a distressing 911 call reporting the shooting. Deputies and first responders were immediately dispatched to the scene on Old Highway 61. Upon arrival, they discovered Brenda Miller a 34-year-old resident of Robinsonville, Mississippi suffering from a gunshot wound. Despite the prompt medical attention provided on-site Miller succumbed to her injuries and was pronounced dead by the Tunica County Coroner marking a heartbreaking loss for her family and the community.

In a swift response, the Tunica Sheriff’s Office arrested four suspects connected to the shooting on June 5, 2024. The suspects are Jaylon Carter, 21 Dequaveon Spears, 21; Jaylin Liddell, 17 and DeShaun Clayborn, 16. They are facing multiple charges, with Liddell and Clayborn specifically charged with second-degree murder. The arrests followed an intensive investigation aimed at bringing justice for Brenda Miller’s killing. The quick and decisive actions of law enforcement were crucial in addressing the crime and demonstrated their commitment to community safety and justice.
