On May 22, 2024, 15-year-old Lochlan Nicol was hit by an SUV driven by Peter Bradford Swing. After the accident, Swing stopped briefly to move the injured Nicol off the road and then fled the scene. During the crash, one of Nicol’s AirPods fell into Swing’s SUV.
