Even though inflation went down a bit to 2.3% in May, it’s still much higher than before. Healthcare spending, for example, went up by 8.9% from 2021 to 2022.

The Prime Minister, Rishi Sunak, has decided to call for a snap general election on July 4th. This comes at a time when people are worried about how much things cost and how it’s affecting their lives. Even though inflation is down, the cost of living is still a big problem, with more people facing poverty and needing food aid.

But for many families, these supports might not be enough, and there’s a need for more solutions to help ease the pressure of the high cost of living.
