Ohio Housing Finance Agency grants tax credits to Homeport for their Hamilton Place project, led by CEO Leah Evans, to address affordable housing needs in Central Ohio. The initiative adds 60 units along North Hamilton Road, supported by a $20 million budget, including $1.5 million in federal Low-Income Housing Tax Credits. The Hamilton Place apartments will be accessible to individuals with physical disabilities and will cater to households earning up to 70% of the area median income. The development will offer one, two, and three-bedroom apartments with amenities like on-site management, a community room, fitness facilities, and outdoor spaces fostering a supportive community for residents.

Homeport is renovating Emerald Glen in Columbus with $1.5 million in tax credits. They’re improving accessibility and adding amenities like a second playground to elevate living standards.
