According to the published article of WDTN News, in Moraine, Ohio, there’s good news for the local economy as the city council recently approved funding for a snack company called Project Crispy, set to move into an old General Motors building. The council gave the green light for a $250,000 loan for the project, which Shearer’s Foods, LLC is behind. They had applied for a tax credit under the name “Project Crispy.”

The snack company plans to use the space in the old General Motors Paint Plant on Springboro Pike in Moraine for their chip-making business, with an investment of $106 million. They’ve also received a grant from Montgomery County to help create and keep jobs locally. With this support, Shearer’s Foods aims to bring around 250 new jobs to the area once their project is up and running.
