Jeffrey Jones Identified Among 10,000 Bones at Suspected Serial Killer Herb Baumeister’s Property
DNA Analysis by Othram Inc. Leads to Identification of Third Victim from Fox Hollow Farm
According to the published article of True Crime Daily, recently the Hamilton County Coroner’s office identified the remains of a missing man from a collection of 10,000 bones found in 1996 at the home of suspected serial killer Herb Baumeister. This progress was made possible by Othram Inc., which created a detailed DNA profile that helped identify Jeffrey Jones, who went missing in August 1993. Jeffrey Jones is the third person to be identified in the renewed investigation of the remains found at Fox Hollow Farm in Westfield, Indiana.

Modern Forensic Methods Help Identify Third Victim from Herb Baumeister’s Fox Hollow Farm
The investigation started in June 1996 when Baumeister’s son found bones on their 18-acre property. Authorities then discovered thousands of burnt and crushed bones, thought to belong to up to 12 people, all believed to be Baumeister’s victims. The alleged serial killer reportedly lured young gay men from bars to his property and killed them. Baumeister fled to Canada and killed himself in 1996, leaving many victims unidentified for years. Using modern forensic methods, Coroner Jeff Jellison has now identified three victims: 27-year-old Allen Livingston in October 2023, Manuel Resendez in January 2024, and now Jeffrey Jones. The identification of Jeffrey Jones is another important step in bringing closure to the victims’ families. Investigators are still working to identify the remaining victims, with four DNA profiles yet to be matched.
