The Salvation Army agreed to a $1.87 million settlement for improper background checks offering $95 coupons to eligible job applicants who must verify their identity by June 15, 2024.

Eligible Job Applicants Can Claim $95 Coupons from $1.87M Salvation Army Settlement by June 15, 2024

According to the published article in The US Sun, the Salvation Army has agreed to a $1.87 million settlement because it was accused of not following federal rules for background checks on job applicants. People who applied for jobs with The Salvation Army between November 2, 2018, and May 17, 2021, can get a $95 coupon to use at its stores in certain states. This Salvation Army settlement helps end the legal claims against the charity without it admitting to any wrongdoing.

People who are eligible for the coupon do not need to fill out a claim form but they must verify their identity on the settlement website by June 15, 2024. If they signed a Mutual Arbitration Agreement, they are not included. Those who want to keep their right to sue The Salvation Army must exclude themselves from the settlement by the same date.
