On average, each refund is about $932.
In North Carolina, around 27,500 people could get a tax refund of $895 each. That’s over $29 million in total. In South Carolina, about 11,900 Americans might get around $840 each adding up to more than $12 million. The IRS wants people to file their returns before May 17 to make sure they get their tax refund.
