US Citizens Have Until May 6 to Seek Compensation in Novant Health Data Breach Settlement Worth $6.66 Million
In a big lawsuit from North Carolina, Americans now have a short time to ask for money from a big settlement. This is about a company called Novant Health. They say people’s info might have been taken from their website or patient page between May 2020 and August 2022. Novant told people about this problem because they used something called pixel tracking, according to the published article of The US Sun.
They’re saying Novant shared personal info without asking. To fix this, Novant agreed to pay $6.66 million. But we don’t know yet how much each person will get. They have to pay some fees and give awards to others first.
If people want money from this, they have to ask by May 6. They don’t need to show bank papers. They just need to have gotten a note from Novant in August 2022 saying their info might be at risk. And only people in the U.S. can ask.
