Criticisms and Comparison with International Healthcare Systems
According to Just The News, the California Assembly Health Committee recently voted on a big idea called AB 2200. AB 2200 is about making a healthcare system for everyone in the state called CalCare. The AB 2200 idea is to stop most private healthcare and put all the money spent on healthcare in California into the state’s budget. But, with California already owing a lot of money Americans are worried about where the extra money will come from to pay for it.
AB 2200 says every person in California would be in CalCare. They’d get different kinds of care like doctor visits and even things like acupuncture. However, some Americans don’t like this AB 2200 plan because they say other countries with similar systems have problems like long waits for care. They also worry that there won’t be enough money to give everyone the care they need. The bill still has to pass through more committees before it becomes law so there’s still a lot of talking and debating to do.

Concerns Raised as California Considers Universal Healthcare Bill
Furthermore, there are worries about how AB 2200 would work in real life. Some Americans are scared that California might not have enough money to pay for everything. They also don’t want to wait a long time to see a doctor like what happens in other countries with similar healthcare systems. As the bill goes through more steps these worries will keep being talked about. It’s important to find a way to make sure everyone can get healthcare without causing more problems.
