Planet Nissan Data Breach Settlement
Class Action Settlements of Data Breach
According to the U.S. Sun, Americans who were affected by a data breach linked to Planet Nissan in Nevada can get money from a settlement. The breach happened in 2022 and might have exposed details of about 1,000 Americans. Even though Planet Nissan didn’t admit they did anything wrong they agreed to pay money to those affected. They have until July 1 to do this and can also ask for money to cover things like credit costs or travel expenses which could add up to $5,250.
These kinds of settlements help groups of Americans who were hurt by a company’s actions just like Planet Nissan. By working together Americans can ask for money and make companies take responsibility for what they did wrong. But people need to make sure they qualify for the settlement before they ask for money. The settlement for Planet Nissan still needs final approval which will happen at a hearing on July 17. This means there’s still time for Americans to submit their claims and maybe get money back for what they lost. Apart from the Planet Nissan settlement, there are other settlements offering money to Americans who were affected. For example, there’s a settlement involving ACTS Retirement Services that could pay up to $3,500.
