According to Detroit Free Press, excitement fills downtown Detroit as the NFL draft draws near. Metro Food Rescue, a group fighting hunger is getting ready for their biggest event yet. Metro Food Rescue wants to use the food left over from the draft to help Americans who don’t have enough to eat.
Metro Food Rescue needs volunteers to help collect and give out the food. With about 40 spots still open they’re asking for help from the community. By working together they can make sure that the extra food goes to those who need it. In Michigan, many Americans struggle to get enough food especially after pandemic support ended. By volunteering with Metro Food Rescue during the NFL draft, Americans can make a big difference in their community.
