According to KMA Land, Nebraska‘s 2024 legislative session is almost done attention is on a bill called Legislative Bill 937 or the Caregiver Tax Credit Act. This bill aims to help family caregivers financially. Jina Ragland from AARP Nebraska is pushing for it. The bill suggests giving family caregivers up to $2,000 in tax credits for their expenses and up to $3,000 if they care for someone with dementia or if the person is a veteran.
