Authorities Foil Attack Plan: Coeur d’Alene Teen Allegedly Supported ISIS
According to SCNOW the people in Coeur d’Alene, Idaho are shocked after police arrested an 18-year-old named Alexander Scott Mercurio. He’s accused of planning to attack churches to help the Islamic State group. Authorities say he talked to FBI agents pretending to be IS supporters for two years. They caught him just before he could carry out the attack he planned on multiple churches.

Investigators found out Mercurio wanted to be a martyr and do violent acts. Even though his Christian parents didn’t agree with his decision to become Muslim he stuck to his extreme beliefs.
