Kari Lake‘s Shift on Strict Abortion Law: A New Approach Amidst Political Criticism in Arizona
According to KJZZ, Republican Kari Lake changed her mind about a strict abortion law in Arizona. Kari Lake used to like it but now she doesn’t. She says it doesn’t fit with what Americans in Arizona want. She wants lawmakers to find a better solution. Her opponent Democrat Ruben Gallego criticized Kari Lake for switching sides just because it’s better for her politically. He says she and other Republicans are being too extreme about healthcare decisions for women.

Gallego pointed out that Kari Lake used to support a tough abortion law but now there’s a different law that allows abortions up to 15 weeks into pregnancy. He thinks Kari Lake is only changing her mind to win votes. Kari Lake doesn’t want a national abortion ban like former President Trump but she’s not clear about who should make the rules – the states or the federal government. Americans are now questioning if she’s really committed to standing up for women’s rights as she runs for Senate in Arizona.
