According to Enterprise-Record, in the story about ex-President Donald Trump a New York judge quickly said “no” to his plan to delay his trial. Trump‘s team wanted to push the trial back a lot because they worried about unfairness in Manhattan where most Americans vote Democrat. But New York judge Lizbeth González said they had to pick the jury fairly and that news didn’t make it unfair.

Trump‘s First Criminal Trial: A Pivotal Moment Amidst Accusations and Legal Controversy

The trial is a big deal because it’s the first of four criminal cases against Trump. He’s accused of lying about payments to his old lawyer Michael Cohen to keep quiet about Stormy Daniels a lady from adult movies. Trump wanted to move the trial to Staten Island where he won votes but it’s still happening in Manhattan. Trump‘s been arguing with the trial judge Juan M. Merchan more and more. He says the judge can’t be fair because his daughter works for Democrats. But Merchan keeps saying he’s fair. As the trial date gets closer it shows how important this case is for Trump and what might happen to him.
