According to NBC MONTANA, Governor Gianforte’s office in Helena, Montana wants to remind people about two programs that can help with property Montana tax relief. One is called the Property Tax Assistance Program (PTAP). It’s for people who own homes and have a certain income. The other one is the Montana Disabled Veterans (MDV) Property Tax Assistant Program. This is for veterans who are 100% disabled or for their spouses if they’ve passed away or are also 100% disabled.

Property Montana Tax Relief Initiatives

The governor says two programs can help with property Montana tax relief, making it easier for more people to qualify. Last year, they passed a law giving $120 million in property Montana tax relief, with rebates up to $1,350 for homeowners. They also changed how property Montana tax relief are paid, giving homeowners more time. By reminding people before the April 15 deadline, they hope more will apply easing the financial burden for Montana residents.
