Long Beach Police Arrest Boy Linked to Series of Shootings, Including One Injuring Teen
Following a slew of gunshots, including one early on Saturday morning that left a 16-year-old kid injured, the Long Beach Police Department detained a boy. The most recent shooting happened close to Baltic Avenue and Burnett Street, where the arrest was made. The youngster, whose age and name were not made public, was connected to three prior shootings: two on Friday before his arrest and one on February 27.

Guns Recovered as Police Pursue Prosecution of Suspected Teen Shooter
Police found guns they thought were used in the shootings and named the youngster as the suspect in all four cases. The juvenile shooter from Saturday morning was transported to the hospital for treatment after suffering lower body wounds. The police plan to submit the case to the District Attorney’s Office of Los Angeles County for additional review and possible prosecution of the person who was detained.
