Controversy in Dearborn: “Death to America” and “Death to Israel” Chants at Al-Quds Day Protest
Dearborn’s Stance: Support for Al-Quds Day amidst Global Outcry
According to Fox News, international Al-Quds Day protesters in Dearborn, Michigan, chanted “Death to America” and “Death to Israel” during their event. Actor Tarek Bazzi contended that because the demonstrations were centered on Israel rather than America, they were anti-American. Bazzi asserted that the entire system had to be eliminated, using Malcom X as a point of reference to the US. “Death to Israel” is the most sensible chant to be screamed worldwide, according to Bazzi. Dearborn, which has the highest proportion of Muslims in the US, is a big advocate of International Al-Quds Day, a yearly event that honors the Palestinian people. The day’s celebrations are prohibited by German authorities, sparking outrage across the globe.

Dearborn’s Political Landscape: Rising Concerns over Extremism and Anti-Israel Sentiment
According to state representative Phil Green, radical organizations like Hamas, Hezbollah, and Iran are posing a growing threat to Dearborn, Michigan. After the terrorist attack on Israel in October by Hamas, the city’s anxieties have grown. Policymakers are being urged to keep an eye on new activities by the largely calm inhabitants of Dearborn. Opponents of Biden staged a demonstration last month, advising Democrats to cast “uncommitted” ballots rather than back the president’s reelection. The American Jewish Committee classified the cries of protestors as “hate speech,” while Michigan’s Iman Usama Abdulghani denounced Israel as “cancer” and a “evil settler colonialist project.”
