According to WTRF, families in West Virginia are facing tough times due to flooding along the Ohio River. Many have lost their homes and belongings, including food. But there’s some help available for those who use EBT SNAP benefits. The West Virginia Department of Health and Human Resources is offering a way for them to get some of their lost food replaced.

Community Collaborates with West Virginia DHHR to Aid Flood-Affected Families
If you lost food in the flood and use EBT SNAP benefits, fill out a form within 10 days and send it to your local DHHR office. They’ll add replacements to your EBT card. But if you already receive the maximum SNAP benefits you may not qualify for extra help.
