Colorado Launches E-Bike Tax Credit to Encourage Sustainable Transportation Choices
DENVER (KDVR) – On April 1, 2024 Colorado Governor Jared Polis declared it to be the state’s second annual E-Bike Day. He was joined by leaders from the Colorado Public Interest Research Group and the Colorado Energy Office. On this day, the Colorado e-bike tax credit was formally introduced with the goal of encouraging the use of electric bikes as an environmentally friendly form of transportation. All Colorado residents are eligible for the tax credit set per person which increases the accessibility and affordability of e-bikes.

Colorado’s Long Term E-Bike Tax Credit Aims to Drive Sustainable Transportation Shift
The tax credit initiative kicks off on April 1 and will continue until December 31, 2032. This move is expected to encourage more Coloradans to opt for electric bikes as a zero emission and healthy transportation alternative aligning with the state’s goals for sustainability and reducing carbon emissions.
