According to Wave Lengths Lawrence General Hospital and Methuen city are getting a lot of new funding for healthcare and community from the government. The hospital will get nearly $3 million to buy new beds for sick people. These new funding for healthcare and community will be for different parts of the hospital like maternity and intensive care. This will make things better for patients and help the hospital have better equipment. Methuen will get over $200,000 to make a new digital archive. This means people can easily find old documents and history stuff online.

Senators Edward J. Markey and Elizabeth Warren worked hard to get this money for the hospital and Methuen. They want to help make health services better and improve the environment. Congresswoman Lori Trahan also helped to make sure these projects got the money they needed. It shows that when people work together good things can happen for the community. Besides helping the hospital and Methuen more money will help other places in the Merrimack Valley. Some will go to making sure people have clean water to drink. Other money will help stop flooding in certain areas. All of this money will make life better for people who live in the Merrimack Valley. It’s a big step forward for the community.
