According to CBS Austin, in a swift and surprising turn of events a Travis County jury has rendered a verdict of not guilty for 52-year-old Stacey Easley in the case of the 2023 shooting death of Johnny Edmondson, 29. The incident, which occurred on April 18, 2023 shook the community as Edmondson was found shot and fatally wounded at The Hedge Apartments in North Austin. Despite efforts of first responders to save his life Edmondson succumbed to his injuries at the scene.

The Lone Star Fugitive Task Force moved quickly after the incident, apprehending and accusing Easley in Travis County of murder in relation to Edmondson’s demise.
