Arrests Made After Attack on Officers at Boise Hospital
Skylar Meade and Nicholas Umphenour Apprehended Following Violent Incident
According to NPR, two men, Skylar Meade and Nicholas Umphenour, were arrested after attacking corrections officers at a Boise hospital while tied to the Aryan Knights Gang. Meade, who was in prison got help from Umphenour who shot two officers to free him. They were caught during a traffic stop in Twin Falls, Idaho, not far from the hospital. Police are checking if they killed two people while running away.

Safety Concerns Rise After Prison Attack Incident
Meade got 20 years in prison in 2017 for shooting at a police officer. Umphenour was released from the same prison in January. Both are part of a group called the Aryan Knights Gang known for doing bad things in prison. During the attack, one officer was very hurt, another was hurt badly, and a third officer had smaller injuries. The prison department is looking at how they handle inmates going to hospitals because of this escape. The Aryan Knights Gang is a group that does bad stuff in and out of prison. Meade, who was kept away from others because he was dangerous was watched by officers when he went to the hospital. This event makes people worry about how safe it is to move prisoners to hospitals. There’s been more violence at hospitals lately which is making everyone nervous.
