President Biden Approves Spending Plan Despite LGBTQ Groups’ Concerns
According to THE HILL, the White House wants to change a rule stopping LGBTQ pride flag from being flown at U.S. embassies. President Biden agreed to a $1.2 trillion spending plan, even though it didn’t have everything he wanted. LGBTQ groups didn’t like a part of the plan that stops pride flag other than the U.S. one from being shown at State Department places.

Biden Pushes to Overturn Ban on LGBTQ Pride Flag Amidst Concerns
Some people believe a rule prevents LGBTQ pride flag from flying at government buildings, but there are exceptions like for the POW/MIA flag. President Biden opposes this rule and aims to remove it with Congress’ help. Additionally, the White House blocked other rules that could harm LGBTQ rights, such as restrictions on healthcare and discrimination. The Congressional group for LGBTQ rights hasn’t commented and neither has the House GOP.
