According to Fox 11 Los Angeles, in Los Angeles there’s been a troubling rise in jewelry heists making folks worried. Just recently thieves used big hammers to smash into a jewelry shop in a Chatsworth mall early on a Monday to conduct their jewelry heists. Luckily the store owner Denny Lesser showed up unexpectedly and surprised one of the burglars. There was a confrontation but the thieves managed to escape leaving behind a lot of damage and fear.

This isn’t the first time this has happened. A similar thing went down downtown just a week earlier. Security cameras caught the crooks in action but cops aren’t sure if the two incidents are linked. Other stores nearby in Chatsworth have also faced similar jewelry heists showing that the problem is widespread. Americans are feeling scared and upset about what’s happening. They want the police to take stronger action against these jewelry heists. Despite all the trouble the community is sticking together hoping for justice and safety for everyone.
