California Clergy Member’s Suspected Hitman Hiring Leads to Arrests and Ongoing Manhunt for Third Suspect
A pastor from Victorville, Samuel Pasillas, was arrested by Riverside Police on suspicion of hiring hit men to kill his daughter’s boyfriend. The victim survived a drive-by shooting on Oct. 21, 2023, and informed the police. Investigators say Pasillas paid almost $40,000 to the hit men, providing them with the victim’s details. Pasillas and another man, Juan Cebreros, were arrested on March 13 after searches in Victorville, Long Beach, and Lynwood. Pasillas faces multiple charges including solicitation for murder and remains held on $1 million bail along with Cebreros. Police are searching for Jesus Abel Felix Garcia, another person of interest.

Grove Community Drive Incident: Police Uncover Pastor’s Suspected Role in Daughter’s Boyfriend’s Assassination Attempt
The shooting incident took place on Grove Community Drive and Plainview Street, where the victim was hit multiple times but managed to get himself to a hospital. Police discovered Pasillas’ alleged involvement after investigating the incident. They claim Pasillas paid the hit men and provided them with information about the victim’s whereabouts. Following searches in various locations, Pasillas and Cebreros were arrested and charged with serious offenses including conspiracy to commit murder. Both men are currently detained on a $1 million bail. Meanwhile, police continue their search for Jesus Abel Felix Garcia, who is considered a person of interest in the case.
