Waiting for Child Tax Credit Refunds: Updates and Insights
Many Still Waiting for Child Tax Credit Refunds Despite IRS Issuing Over $115 Billion
CNET – Over $115 billion in tax refunds have been sent out by the IRS this tax season but many people who claimed the child tax credit are still waiting. The child tax credit is money families get if they have qualifying children. You can get up to $2,000 per child but not all of it might come back to you as cash. The part of the child tax credit that can give you extra money is called the additional child tax credit. This year that extra amount is $1,600. The IRS says most refunds for people who claimed the child tax credit should have been in bank accounts or on debit cards by February 27th.
