These bills offer various forms of relief, including new exemptions for homeowners and seniors an increased exemption for veterans, and caps on annual tax increases. One of the key bills, House Bill 4 expands the state’s property tax refund program, making it accessible to more residents by raising income eligibility limits. Additionally, Senate File 89 doubles the property tax exemption for certain veterans, recognizing their service and sacrifice.
